Hey there! Here’s my story 👉
About
Pre-Higher Education
🇺🇸 I grew up in the vibrant Bay Area, just east of San Francisco, with my two younger siblings and jack-russel-terrier-dauschund-something dog. We call Oakland home, where all four of us (👩 👩🦰 👦 🐶) spent many weekends and summers at Brother and Sisters—our mama’s flower shop.
👧 As a teen in a high school film class and member of Girls Who Code, I found my first internship working as a digital designer and videographer for JETTIX, a local nonprofit seeking to even the playing field for underrepresented teens interested in STEM fields.
University and Internships
🎓 In 2018, I entered university with a unique dual bachelor’s in Art & Technology and Political Science—combining my interests. Check out some of my projects! 👉
This interdisciplinary degree provided the opportunity to work between Computer Science, Design, and Political Science faculties.
👔 In 2020, I landed my first job in the industry. Beginning as an intern, then invited to stay, for two years, I worked remotely alongside my studies as motion graphics designer for Applovin, a major mobile game marketing corporation in San Francisco.
🇩🇰 In 2021, I found a second client while on a pivotal exchange semester in Copenhagen, a small green energy scaleup called FLEXeCHARGE.
Post-Graduation
🇳🇱 In 2022, I graduated, and moved to Amsterdam as a creative researcher at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. Combining my interdisciplinary experiences, our team worked with the Rathenau Institute, an EU founded member of the European Parliamentary Technology Assessment, through Digital Society School. As Tool and Instruments Master, my role was to bring our AI powered motion capture experience to life using Teachable Machine and Figma.
Master’s and Beyond
🇸🇪 In 2024, I moved to Sweden to pursue an MFA in Interaction Design at the globally prestigious Umeå Institute of Design. Now, I am looking forward to the next step in this story!
